In the fall of 2004 I realized I was going to be let go from my employment. I was working for an employment agency staffing an outsource order desk. For a variety of reasons the company I was placed at wasn't able to expand their business through outsource services.
I had been wanting to purchase a home as a tool for the gospel ---- a place for me to live with office space for my ministry to grow into my career.
The amount of funds available to me in the form of a mortgage was minimal. I also didn't want to borrow so much money that I would be paying in the upwards of $100,000 in interest charges.
During my planning stages I realized I needed a three bedroom so rental income would help pay my bills in the transition into full time ministry.
On my property in Belleville is a 12' X 26' shed. This shed was built in 2002 after the previous one burned to the ground. Ron Piggott moved to Belleville and took possession of the land in November 2004. This shed is the ideal space to run the administration for the ministry out of. All that needs to be accomplished is to finish the inside off allowing this to be used year round.
The following photographs are the journey in progress. The approximate cost of materials to do this is $7,000 Canadian. If this is something you are able to financially support please follow this link to our online giving and donations information web page. May the Lord bless your giving heart.
The next step in preparing the shed to be the ministry office was to add electricity. On June 17th 2006 we had a work day to dig a trench allowing electricity to physically travel to the shed.

I asked for additional help Saturday evening. After these three gentleman left Saturday evening less than six cubic feet of dirt needed to be moved. |

Above: The top conduit carries telephone and computer network cables to the shed providing these services. The second conduit contains the electrical supply line for the sub panel.
Below: Sand allows for good drainage around the conduits. The danger tape is a warning if there is a need for additional landscaping around the buried electrical supply line.

After adding the electricity I was able to connect a sub panel. |
We strapped the walls to allow for additional insulation. This is a long term effort to save on the winter heating costs.

On July 3rd 2006 I added two roof vents. In the summer these help to keep the heat down. In the winter they vent the attic and prevent ice from forming.

With having electricity available through the sub panel I added four electric baseboard heaters to provide even heating throughout the building. Their installation was completed on May 13th 2007.
