Prayer: A Gift For A Friend
Sunday September 30th, 2007

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (NASB)

The Lord Jesus continually showed compassion to His disciples. He longed that they would have an intimate relationship with the Father. What Jesus modeled for His disciples was a life of purity and holiness. Frequently Jesus was up at dawn for His daily appointment with His Father in Heaven.

What I want to challenge you with is a priceless gift --- prayer for a friend.

A prayer of thanksgiving when the Lord favor and faithfulness has been evident;
A prayer for insight when difficult choices must be made;
A prayer of grace when the journey is going to be long.

Prayer is a gift you may give a friend at any time to let him or her know you have thought of them. It is taking your words of encouragement and hope a step further and inviting the Holy Spirit to be a part of the journey.

God is longing to be active in the world today. As we turn our hearts to Him in prayer we will see magnitude of God revisited in the lives of people we interact with frequently.

Jesus thank you for how you modeled the Lord's prayer for your disciples. Teach us to pray for those we care deeply about and to work along side of you in these people's lives. Amen
We openly invite you to use our prayer ministry to support you in prayer at your point of need today. Please visit our prayer ministry on the web at http://www.actsministrieschristianevangelism.org/prayerministry/.
