Laying A Foundation Of Love : 2006 Theme Message
Sunday January 1st, 2006

I have now added the online fellowship forum to the ministry web site. This was part of the plans the Lord gave me to create in 2005. It is online and ready to be used.

The idea of this is a place to have fellowship online, share burdens, be encouraged and built up. I have set up four rooms (discussion boards) for designated areas of conversation:

  • The Living Room - A place for Christian fellowship

  • The Kitchen - Eating Spiritual Food - Life lessons learned from the Lord

  • The Prayer Closet - Nurturing an intimate relationship with the Lord

  • The Nursery - A safe place to ask questions

I have a welcome message in each area to further explain these.

The boards are for public discussion; I am going to add a private dialog feature after Christmas so you may nurture some close relationships online and have people to support you as you about life. The idea is that we may be there for one another.

Anyone visiting the web site is able to read the messages posted to the boards. To create a message you must be logged into your Member Services account. (If you are subscribed to the Verse of the Day or Christian Discipleship mailing lists you have an account. If you need to know your password our web site will e-mail it to you.) http://www.actsministrieschristianevangelism.org/memberservices/index.php?request=enter_fellowship_forum is the opening address.

I have created a short "Getting to you know" fellowship forum profile so others may know a bit about you while they read your postings. There is a link to maintain your fellowship forum profile once you are logged into your Member Services account. I have set this up so you may use an alias with your postings --- something you are comfortable with.

One of the things that is really important to me is that people don't slip through the cracks. Right now I am building up the ministry ground up. But I realize now that even with a team of people working along side of me won't be sufficient to care for people's needs. All Jesus asks us to do is to care for and love one another. If we are serious about God then there are things we need to deal with in our lives. At times we need others in the body of Christ to be a support while we take a look at our lives. From the start of this fellowship forum being on our web site I want to say that it is important to me that we are there for one another and as others visit the ministry web site they will sense the warmth of Jesus and be able to say "I need help" or ask questions.

Love in Christ,

Ron Piggott
